VM Drilling are Kalgoorlie based, locally owned and operated working Australia wide. We maintain a fleet of ten drill rigs working at various locations nationally. We have been in business since 2004 moving into the Clancy Street premises in October 2007 relocating from their original 1 Dwyer Street premises.
The building is a modern office facility with a state of the art workshop. The workshop includes a 10 ton overhead gantry crane, two pole light vehicle hoist, internal wash pad, engine building clean room and all amenities required for rig service / maintenance etc... The VM management team has over 30 years experience and knowledge within the industry and takes a very hands on approach to the contracts VM are involved in.

All VM Drilling rigs are accompanied by track mounted all terrain auxiliary / booster compressor units supplying air to a maximum 2200cfm @ 1000 psi. The support trucks for all VM rigs are either 6x6 or 8x8 all wheel drive Tatra's capable of all terrain and hill work giving us access to the most hard to reach drill sites.
Our track based rigs are appealing to clients as they can reach a depth of up to 800m on rugged terrain and also reduce the impact on the environment because they are more maneuverable with a smaller foot print.
All VM Drilling rigs are fitted with automatic rod handling and breakout units reducing the manual handling and offering a safer option for our employees and clients. The VM cyclone system is constructed with double chamber doors which seal the sample off from the dust collector preventing the sample fines from being drawn away and reducing sample quality, resulting in a very accurate sample.
All VM employees receive ongoing training and accreditation. VM Drilling are in the process of enrolling their employees in Certificate II, III & IV in Drilling, these are recognised Australia wide. All VM procedures are rig specific and incorporate a level of national competency. Along with the procedures all VM staff are required to understand and be competent in all company policies and the VM safety management plan.
